Rohit Roy is deeply saddened by actor Kushal Punjabi’s death, talks about ‘mental illness’

Television actor Rohit Roy has expressed his deep condolences on social media after the demise of actor Kushal Punjabi, who was found hanging from the ceiling of his residence in Pali Hill on Thursday morning and the importance of mental health awareness that leads people to commit suicide.

He took to social media where he apologises for not being there for him, and shared his grievances saying, “Who would have thought that behind that bright, happy smile lay out a troubled mind… I am so so sorry We could,’t be there when u probably needed us all the most.. Rest in peace my brother.. like most I’m still in shock..  can’t begin to fathom the pain you must have been in to shoes such a painful end for yourself..

He goes on to aware about the increasing mental health issues that people go through everyday ,just like any other person on the planet and the hesitation behind reaching out to one-another.  “PS: metal illness is nothing to be embarrassed about..Don’t hide.. Reach out to your loved ones or anyone actually .. n believe me it will help.. even if you think someone is busy, reach out..they will make time .. humanity isn’t dead just yet…”

Karanveer Bohra broke the news on social media about the demise of the Ishq me Marjawa fame Kaushal Punjabi, saying ,”Ur demise has shocked the hell out of me. I’m still in denial @itsme_kaushalpunjabi. I know you are in a happier place, but this unfathomable. The way you lead your life really inspired me in more ways  than one….but what was I to know. Your zest for dancing, fitness, off-road biking, fatherhood and above all that, that smiling face of yours, your happy-go-lucky nature your warmth all that was so genuine. I’m gonna miss you so much “kushlani. You will always be remembered as a guy who lived a full life.

The incident was reported by a friend who found him hanging himself from the ceiling when they entered the flat at around 11:30pm. A suicide not has been found by the Bandra police from Punjabi’s flat in which has mentioned no one should be held responsible for his extreme step.
