Akhilesh wants to replace Mayawati by making suitable changes in his party

Not just doctor Lohia but Baba Saheb Ambedkar too has made a place at the Samajwadi Party headquarters in Lucknow. At the auditorium of the party office the portrait of Ambedkar along with doctor Lohia is indicting a new equation. This could well be an indication of change with Samajwadi Party before the 2022 assembly polls.

The major change at the party office suggests that SP chief and former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav wants to make the disgruntled members of BSP or those who are ousted from BSP understand that their second destination is not Congress or BJP but their choice should be Samajwadi Party.

In the alliance between SP and BSP for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the SP had got less seats in the distribution of seats between the two parties. And SP had also to incur loss as compared to BSP in the election results. Even the political analysist also said that Akhilesh had given a chance to the Bahujan Samaj Party to grow with a self-destructive step that was taken by Akhilesh Yadav.

Samajwadi Party got half the seats in comparison to BSP but then Akhilesh might have thought that the 2019 elections were not for him or his party. Now with the picture of Ambedkar along with the picture of doctor Lohia, the SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is trying to give a message that he could be leader of Dalits too.

During the evaluation of the losses from the alliance Akhilesh could also understand that at the ground level it is not impossible to make workers of SP and BSP work together. Therefore Akhilesh has been continuously saying that during events dalit faces should also be given space at the dais. Working in this direction Akhilesh has given importance to Dalits while making changes in the party office bearers at different levels.

This is also being said as there is a list of people leaving BSP and joining the Samajwadi Party even since the alliance broke post election results. One after the other big names from the BSP are joining SP, as they are wish to ride the cycle and not elephant.

On Saturday after motivating half a dozen BSP leaders to join SP former minister Ram Prasad Chaudhary will also join SP.

Ram Prasad Chaudhary who holds strong in Basti division is joining SP with former MP Arvind Chaudhary, former MLA Doodh Ram, Rajendra Chaudhary, Nandu Chaudhary and six members of the district panchayat and former block head. Before this CL Verma who was close to Mayawati and former minister Raghunath Prasad Sankhwar had also joined SP.

On being asked about the race to join the SP a senior BSP leader and former minister said majority of those joining SP are the ones who have been kicked out of the party (BSP) on charges for working against the party. On the other side SP spokesperson and former minister Rajendra Chaudhary has said that there belief of people on policies of SP has increased hence not just BSP but even in other parties too the first choice is Samajwadi Party.
