New delhi : Jagat prakash nadda has now officially become the full-time president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Nadda’s tenure as BJP president is till 2023.
JP Nadda’s journey from being a common BJP worker to the high-profile leader of the world’s largest party has been long but the real challenge before him will be the legacy brought to the party by ex-president and union home minister amit shah . Amit Shah has brought the BJP to the sky heights and helped party achieve many victories during his tenure.
After the victory in the Lok Sabha elections 2019, BJP President Amit Shah became the Home Minister, due to which the command of the party was handed over to JP Nadda and he was appointed as the Acting President. JP Nadda took charge of the party for eight months as acting president, but he has failed in his political practice match.
Not only did Maharashtra and Jharkhand lose BJP’s seats but lost power too, Haryana was forced to form the government with the support of JJP. At the same time, even in Delhi, the political path of BJP is not being considered easy. JP Nadda’s term is till 2023. Now upcoming assembly elections are to be held under the leadership of Nadda in the states of Bihar, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Northeast, which would be his real test.

It will be a challenging task as a president for JP Nadda to maintain the position where Amit Shah took the party as BJP President. Under the leadership of Amit Shah, BJP has not only won the country but has also won the victory in big states including Uttar Pradesh. When some people were predicting BJP’s defeat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Amit Shah claimed to have won 300 plus seats and managed to put it into practice.
Apart from this, Amit Shah has brought the party to new heights since 2014. Not only he ended party’s 14-year exile in Uttar Pradesh but also set news dimensions of party in the northeastern states.
Now when party is in the hands of the nadda, it will be a challenge to keep BJP at the top and present himself as a strong and powerful president.
