Balrampur tops in UP in covid vaccination

Balrampur district topped the chart in covid vaccination in Uttar Pradesh as it achieved 99.07% of the target, highest in 75 districts. Of the target to vaccinate 2367 beneficiaries 3245 were vaccinated in Balrampur, without any adverse effect to any of the beneficiaries.

Following Balrampur was Siddharthnagar that reported 98.32% vaccination. The lowest 44.75% vaccination was done in Sonebhadra where 1107 of the target of 2474 were vaccinated, with 7 adverse effect after vaccination reported here.

In Uttar Pradesh 2305 vaccination booths vaccinated 171198 beneficiaries of the target of 257781, which is 66.41%. Vaccination started at around 10 am and continued till 5 pm.

In all 33.59% beneficiaries missed vaccination. In Lucknow approximately 52% beneficiaries missed covid vaccination. Only 6970 of the targeted 14311 turned up at 116 vaccination session booths made at 43 different hospitals in Lucknow.

Vaccination will continue on Friday also. The health department aims to cover all health care workers by February 5. The vaccination rounds will be conducted on February 4 also. The total number of healthcare workers vaccinated against COVID19 in the country till now has crossed 28 lakh today. A total of 2847608 beneficiaries were vaccinated through 52,667 sessions, as per the provisional report.
