Political parties are in a race to conquest the Kanshiram’s legacy as BSP seems going weak in the state. Balihari Babu, who was once working with Kanshiram announced to work with Akhilesh on Kanshiram anniversary raising slogans ‘Jai Bhim Jai Samajwad’.
Before the 2022 elections this is being considered as a big wager by Akhilesh Yadav the SP president. Political analysts are in for decoding the attempt by Akhilesh to connect dalit votes with minority votes. Balihari is the man who in 1993 was in the middle of talks between Mulayam and Kanshiram for a political agreement.
This alliance done then was considered one of the most effective one. Though the temple issue was at its peak then also but this political agreement was a big impact with a slogan ‘mile Mulayam Kanshiram, Hawa Mein Ud Gaye Jai Shri Raam’.
On the occasion Balihari repeated the slogan but he refused to say anything beyond ‘Mile Mulayam Kanshiram’ and indicated clearly toward the mileage the BJP is trying via temple issue. For the 2022 elections this step ca be said as one of the big ones by the Samajwadi Party. Balihari is a leader connected with the people. Kanshiram had given him the charge of BAMCEF.
Native of Azamgarh, Balihari has a great impact within the dalit community and connected with organisations such as BAMCEF and BS4. Balihari announced from the SP platform that reactionistparties have always tried to make differences between dalit and backward. We shall fill this gap.
He went on to say that in 2019 the SP president had bowed and got the alliance with BSP done keeping in view the sentiments of the community but incorrect allegations play a key role in breaking the alliance. The bahujan community has got a big blow due to this and to understand this we need to use our discretion.
On the next day of Samajwadi Party national working committee meeting Balihari and other prominent leaders who hold command at ground level Tilak Chand Ahirwar, Feran Ahirwar, Anil Ahirwar joined SP. These names are considered strong in their areas and Akhilesh said they will give power to the party.
The vision of Akhilesh is clear regarding the 2022 elections and he wants to bring together backward and Dalits together and thinks it can do wonder.
Keeping this mission in view Akhilesh is taking cautious steps ahead. Prior to this in January Akhilesh had got Ram Prasad Chaudhary a big name from Basti division and former minister and other big names to join SP.
Apart from Akhilesh the legacy of Kanshiram is also being eyed upon by Chandrashekher Azad, the Bhim Army chief, who has announced his new party Azad Samaj Party on Kanshiram anniversary.
he is eyeing upon the leaders who are irked with BSP. He got many BSP leaders join his party along with announcement of his new party and his political inning.
