Yash Pratap tops High School, Mehak Jaiswal leads Intermediate exams

Lucknow/Prayagraj. The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) announced the results for the 2025 High School and Intermediate board examinations on Friday. Thanks to the proactive approach and transparent system of the Yogi government, the results were declared in just 43 days — a significant achievement in the state’s education history.

This year, the overall pass percentage for High School students was 90.11%, while for Intermediate students it was 81.15%. In the Intermediate category, Mehak Jaiswal from Bacha Ram Yadav Inter College, Bhulai Ka Pura (Prayagraj district), secured the top position with 97.20% marks. In High School, Yash Pratap Singh from Late Smt. Raskendri Devi Inter College, Umri (Jalaun district), emerged as the topper with an outstanding 97.83%.

Like every year, even this year girls have performed better than boys. In High School, the pass percentage of girls is 7.21% higher than that of boys. In Intermediate, girls outperformed boys by 9.77%. CM Yogi Adityanath congratulated all the successful students and wished them a bright future.

Director of Secondary Education Mahendra Dev and UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh announced the 2025 High School and Intermediate exam results. He informed that the exams were conducted between February 24 and March 12, 2025. Following the directives of CM Yogi, the UP Board successfully conducted the exams across 8,140 centres in just 13 working days, ensuring a fair and cheating-free environment. The evaluation of answer sheets took place from March 19 to April 2 at 261 evaluation centres.

He mentioned that a total of 92,594 examiners participated in the High School paper evaluation, while 56,066 teachers were involved in checking Intermediate papers. The practical exams for Intermediate students were conducted in two phases between February 1 and 21. He further said that under CM Yogi’s leadership, the UP Board has made the examination process more transparent and reliable through significant technological and administrative reforms.

Inmates in UP jails also pass board exams with impressive results 

Several inmates from different jails across Uttar Pradesh appeared for the 2025 High School and Intermediate board exams and passed with commendable performance.

In the High School exams, 94 inmates appeared, out of which 91 passed, achieving a remarkable pass percentage of 96.81%. In the Intermediate exams, 105 inmate candidates took part, and 91 of them passed, recording a pass percentage of 86.67%.
