Chief Secretary of UP in the inaugural of APAC ‘India Digital Empowerment Meet & Awards’…
Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh moving fast to realise 1 Trillion Dollar economy. This was stated by Durga Shanker Mishra, IAS, Chief Secretary of UP in the inaugural of ‘3rd India Digital Empowerment Meet & Awards’ which was held in Lucknow on Thursday.
While giving the Keynote Address, he said ‘ Development should happen so fast that India becomes a developed nation by 2047, when we complete 100 years of Independence.’
Emphasising on the importance of IT & technology, Durga Shanker Mishra said that ‘ IT intervention has worked wonders in almost every sphere. For the development till 2047 , Team India has to work together.’ He also added, “UP is creating an innovative investment fund so that entrepreneurs can create innovations.”
Ajit Singh Pal, MoS, IT of UP graced occasion as an esteemed ‘Chief Guest.’ ‘ We are building IT City SEZ in 100 acre in Lucknow, building IT hubs in Tier 2 and 3 cities, brought the data center policy among others,’ stated by Minister Pal.
The event was organised by APAC News Network with UPDESCO & IT Department of UP as the Host Partners.
Program Chair of the event, Kumar Vineet, IAS, Special Secretary of IT and MD, UPDESCO stressed on how Uttar Pradesh as a state is enabling and playing the role of facilitator to make manufacturers to be at ease in the state.
The event was also attended by policymakers and experts from other states such as Rajashthan, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, UT of J&K along with IT industry leaders such ACER, CELCON, LAVA, NEC.
Ajitabh Sharma, IAS, CMD of Jaipur City Transport Ltd was also part of the inaugural session and he shared his vision of transforming governance in India through the journey of Government to Governance.
‘Government is an entity but governance is contextual…. empowerment is a subset of governance…potential of IT in good governance yet to be explored,’ opined Ajitabh.
The event was attended by delegates from various government departments of UP along with industry representatives.
