UP’s present and former CM test positive for covid

Both present and former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh along with a minister tested positive for covid on Wednesday and have isolated themselves.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath tweeted, “Following primary symptoms I got myself tested and my report came positive. I am in self-isolation and following advice of my doctors. I am doing all my official work virtually.”

During the day the UP CM addressed a programme organised to celebrate birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar virtually.

Akhilesh Yadav the former chief minister of UP and Samajwadi Party chief who also tested positive tweeted, “I have tested positive for Covid and have isolated myself. I request all those who came in contact with me in past few days to get them testedand isolate themselves.”

UP minister for urban development Ashutosh Tandon also tested positive. “On advise of doctors I have self-isolated myself. I request those who came in contact with me in past few days to get them checked,” Tandon tweeted.

Sometime later Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has wished chief minister Yogi Adityanath and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav speedy recovery.
