UP: “Saffron is not just him, but for the whole country,” said Priyanka in Lucknow

Priyanka Gandhi on Monday condemned the Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradseh government during a press conference submitted a memorandum seeking a judicial inquiry into police brutality during the demonstrations against the CAA and NRC in the state.

“Saffron is not just for him (Yogi Aditynath), but for the whole country.”

She iterated further saying, “This is the country of Lord Krishna and Ram, who is the symbol of Karuna. There is no place for violence in our country. Saffron is not just him, but for the whole country.”

Priyanka talking about the reiterating condition of the country amid the CAA protests where people is several districts of Uttar Pradsesh faced police brutality. She along with national president Ajay Kumar Lallu, Legislature party leader Aradhna Mishra, MP PL Punia, former MP PramodTweari. Acharya Pramod Krishna met at the party office in Lucknow.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra lashing out at the Yogi Adityanath government during the press conference here on Monday that the administration and police is spreading chaos in the state. She later gave details of the entire incident happened during the anti- Citizenship law demonstrations in the state. “A former police officer S R Darapuri was arrested from his house and some other Congress workers were implicated in false cases.”

“The topic of my security is not an issue right now, its about protecting the people of this country but the UP police instead harassed them,” said Priyanka.

Congress vice president Priyanka Gandhi was fined for Rs. 6,300 by the UP traffic Police for not wearing a helmet while riding pillion on a Congress workers scooty on her way to reach the house of retired IPS officer S R Darapuri in Lucknow on Sunday.
