The UP board class 10 and 12 exams began on Tuesday with Hindi papers. A total 5607118 candidates shall appear in the exam, considered to be the largest in strength exam in Asia.
The exams are being held in two sessions and in the state there are 7784 examination centres where the candidates will take the exams. This year the exam centres shall have for the first time CCTV, voice recorder and broadband.
The UP Board has claimed the examinations will be fair and copying will not be tolerated at the exam centres, and one such effort in answer sheets in four colours. A control room has also been set up to keep watch on student activities at the examination centres.
This year two helplines have also been introduced and a twitter account can also be used to tell the board the problems faced by the students. @upboardexam2020, the handle will be read by officials throughout the exams. Also #upboardexam2020 can be used by candidates. The helpline number are 1800-180-5310 and 1800-180-5312.
It may be noted that the number of candidates has registered a fall as compared to previous years. In calss 10 there has been a fall of 1,69,980 in the number of candidates. and for class 12 the fall is of 18,658 candidates. In 2019 in all 57,95,756 candidates registered for the exams and this year 56,07,118 registrations.
According to the UP Board Final Exam Center List 2020 this year 451 state run, 3401 aided and 3934 unaided schools have been made centres. About 430 schools have not been included as exam centres.
Students can expect result by third week of April month. This year UP Board Exams will be completed in record time of 15 days.
