Union Minister threatens to ‘pack off’ a Muslim student back to his country over CAA

The BJP Union Minister Babul Supriyo is now involved in a new controversy where reports of threat has made a new furor after a student questioned about a post he shared in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act.

The BJP MPs these days are seen threatening and giving out statements against everyone protesting against the CAA-NRC, while some are seen targeting a specific section of the society.

The BJP MP on Friday went furious over a students question on the social media asking his ‘educational qualification’ to which he replied, ‘he should pack off his bags and go to his own country.’

Mustafizur Rahman, a student at the Krishna Chandra college asked about Supriyo’s educational qualification and of BJP state president Dilip Ghosh. “Babul-da how educated are people like you can be gauged from the fact that your mentor (State president) Dilip Ghosh spots gold in cow milk,” said Rahman.

To this, Supriyo said “Mustafuzur Rahman let me first pack you off to your country, then will send the reply in post card. The comments came after the BJP MP shared a post advocating the Citizenship Amendment Act and criticized a student of the Jadhavpur University who tore the first page of the contentious legislation at the annual convocation of the university while receiving his gold medal on December 26.

“Babul Supriyo, I have enough proof to show that I am an Indian and a Bengali. You don’t know how to respect Bengali’s though you are an MP from West Bengal,” said Rahaman after which he received support from people on social media and outside.

Mustafizur Rahman is a 19-year-old Chemistry honors student of the Krishan Chandra college, Hetampur at Bhirbhum.
