Filled with conspiracies, drama, and suspense, Tandav the new web series is promising its audience a roller coaster ride inside politics.
Tandav is a story that happens in New Delhi the capital city of the world’s largest democracy. It takes you inside the closed power corridors, chaotic power and manipulation, and the darkest alleys of Indian politics.
With Saif Ali Khan in lead the web series begins January 15. The show marks the digital debut of director Ali Abbas Zafar and writer Gaurav Solanki of Article 15 fame.
Saif Ali Khan can be seen as a cunning politician in the web series. “It’s time that we change the rules of this power game,” marks Saif hinting towards his manipulative ambitions in the latest teaser. In the show, Saif will be seen as Samar Pratap Singh, an ambitious and shrewd politician.
Dimple Kapadia, in her digital debut, will be seen as a determined woman. “Working under the woman bruises their fragile male ego,” marks Dimple Kapadia in the latest character teaser. Dimple plays Anuradha Kishore, who knows the art of blackmail to achieve her target.
Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub will play a progressive student leader Shiva Shekhar. Audiences will watch him challenging Samar Pratap Singh. “In the game of chess, a king may or may not fall.
But his pawns and his lieutenants fall way before the king does,” exclaims Sunil Grover in the latest teaser of the show. Sunil Grover also makes his digital debut with Tandav.
Produced by Himanshu Kishan Mehra and Ali Abbas Zafar, the 9-episode political drama features a strong ensemble cast including Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Sunil Grover, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Dino Morea, Kumud Mishra, Gauahar Khan, Amyra Dastur, Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub, Kritika Kamra, Sarah Jane Dias, Sandhya Mridul, Annup Sonii, Hitten Ttejwani, Paresh Pahuja and Shonali Nagrani.
