Smart band to catch runaway coronavirus patients

Coronavirus patients who try to run away will be caught with the help of a smart band which is of the shape of a wrist band. The band will work to save time and energy used to catch patients who are reported to be running away from quarantine facilities.

Coronavirus has spread across the country and despite lockdown over 20000 people are effected by coronavirus. The health department puts people who test positive in to quarantine facilities but many times such people think it to be a punishment and run away. Such act raising risk of infection spread among others.

Coronavirus patients wont be able to do such act anymore as a wrist band which is smart band will be tracking their movement and if they move away from the facility the band will inform authorities. Also the band will monitor the body temperature of the patient. The country is already using Aroyga Setu app that tells a person if they come close to a positive person. The government has shared information about this app on Wednesday.

Now it wont be easy to run away or may not even be possible without permission. The wrist band will also help channalise the energy of health workers towards treatment instead of security. There have been instances of patients running away in the state capital also.

The band will also have a SoS button which can be used by patient for help. The government has given order for production of bands in thousands, sources say. The band has a start up working with Broadcast Engineering Consultants. It will also reduce the attacks upon policemen and medical teams.
