Shivraj, fourth time CM

Shivraj Singh has become chief minister of Bhopal fourth time. Prior to this he was elected the leader of the legislative party.

The observer Arun Singh via video conferencing monitored the election of Shivraj as party leader and then announced his name.

Process for the formation of new government in Madhya Pradesh started after on March 20 Kamalnath gave his resignation as the CM. State BJP president Vishnudutt Sharma said that MLAs from Reva, Sidhi, Singhrauli and few other places did not attended the meeting but their consent was taken. Of all the MLAs about 85% reached for the meeting.

BJP has asked all its MLAs not to come with any accomplice for the meeting owing to thethreat of spread of coronavirus. All MLAs followed the advise. All used sanitizers before attending the meeting hall.

When former Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia made public the resignation there came a storm in Madhya Pradesh politics on Holi on March 10. After him 22 MLA of Congress also resigned and went to the BJP. This included six minister and with this the Kamalnath government came in to minority.

Shivraj became CM first on 29 November 2005 and on 12 September 2008 for the second time. His third term was from 8 December 2013 and now it is fourth term.
