The news is that MLAs in Bundelkhand region will be under watch for their recent activities. But the question is why only MLAs in Bundelkhand region. Are BJP MLAs of other region clean? Sangh office bearers will certainly remember their first coordination meeting held in Vrindavan after getting power in the state.
Till then many had shown their character. Right from office bearers in the Sang to the BJP office bearers had narrated the activities in detail before the top bosses. Then the faces of Sangh office bearers and the chief minister was such that they were totally unaware of these activities done by their own partymen.
The chief minister had assured that action will be taken against those who crossed the limits so that a strong message goes across the party cadre. But this message never came. With this the self-restriction among MLAs too went for a toss and they began an open game. Now after a gap of three years again the issue of spying of MLAs has come up. It is being said the bosses are coming to terms.
It is also said that the filthy activities of the MLAs was in the knowledge of the Sangh and the party bosses but it was expected that they (MLAs) will mend their ways but they remains the tough nut to crack and were ultimately ignored too. None of the MLAs from this region were given a cabinet birth in the government.
The argument keeping in view the CR of the honest PWD state minister Chandrika Prasad Upadhaya does not stand. Chandrika Prasad had some problem hence cabinet rank was not given or was it an internal conspiracy in the party that his birth will put someone else down hence he was denied the birth.
For now it is said that those MLAs who will rank top in the list of defaming party as per the spying reports will not get a ticket in the coming election. This logic is irrelevant. What have the defaulter MLAs done for the people that they be given time of five years to enjoy.
Had some of them been removed from party due to their tainted image they could not have spent crores. But in the regime of Yogi Adityanath it is group that matters hence even if the close ones in the group do disaster they will not face any action.
Perhaps BJP does not remember that in this country change of power happens on the issue of corruption. Even in the centre the BJP made a government after Anna Hajare stood on a stir against corruption and made people to believe that if party governments are made corruption will not stand even for a day.
But BJP betrayed on this point both at centre and state. If we go to the history the plot to change the government in centre was written when Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan had agreed to hold the raigns of the campaign against corruption by the Congress governments.
After this Indira Gandhi had put him and other opposition leaders behind bars by imposing emergency in a hurry. This lead to uprooting of the party in the entire north India by the election time. Even VP Singh was successful to overthrow a majority Rajiv Gandhi government as people had developed faith that he can weed out corruption.
BJP’s mentor Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) too focuses upon human development for good governance and this is correct as rules and laws will be successful if they are implemented by good people but call it whatever as RSS has restricted itself as on abstract philosophy.
Sangh has not been seen active if the work is being done against its wishes and principles. For example the attempts to remove differences and increase social coordination by community feasts were made excellent by the Sangh.
But if any one from the upper caste reach to bring a show down to a marriage procession of dalit groom who rides a horse then none from the Sangh come out to stop such dirty and wrong doing. There are a few example on the issue such as editor of Panchjanya Tarun Vijay who faced life threat while attempting to stop those who opposed entry of Dalits in temples in Uttarakhand.
Sangh supports reservation policy but does not stops those Sawarna members who oppose reservation in a filthy language to hurt Dalit and OBC community.
Sangh focuses on simplicity and honesty but who ever the Sangh sent to set example have actually left behind their counterpart in other party governments. The Sangh had to sent to lines several organization secretaries. Kalyan Singh, during his tenure as the chief minister was very angry with what organization secretaries did.
Even today several of them are sitting in offices but are least bothered about social or public welfare and neither they are worried how to behave. The fact is because of the directives from the Sangh only that they were able to get more share than what they should have been given.
This makes a image that corruption goes with the Sangh, though this is not true. Only those icons are corrupt in the Sangh who got position while the normal Sangh workers still works for the top people in the Sangh without any greed for the welfare eof the community and people. The Sangh needs to take a strong stand upon this.
On the other side Modi and Yogi are honest in their work and there is no doubt about it. Though it is also significant that honesty does not mean that one will not make money for himself alone but it has also to be looked that those who spend on publicity such businessmen should not be allowed to sell country’s resources else the honesty will not be there in true sense.
Yogi and Modi should target the corruption among bureaucracy which has also become strongest sector in the country and this has not been acted upon till now. In Uttar Pradesh Yogi has EoW and anti-corruption wings and why not he can start a campaign in this wing for six months.
This campaign can target officers and staff taking bribe and also scan assets over their income sources and such property shall be seized. This has two benefits. One the officers will fear from corrupt practices and secondly the government will generate so much of revenue from the seized properties that there will be no need to bring in new taxes and also give rebate in existing taxes for six months.
But for this it is important that party MLAs and MPS are honest first and also those in the organization. Every month information should be gathered about partymen from intelligence, media and other sources. The corrupt should be ousted immediately and only this measure can fulfill the public demands.
