A new Instagram post has been doing the rounds on the internet for which netizens are praising the ‘star kid’ since Tuesday morning on Instagram when 18 year-old-Sana Gangualy, daughter of BCCL director Saurav Ganguly posted her strong views about the violence against the crackdown on students of Jamia Milia Islamia protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Bill.
The screenshots showing an Instagram story with an excerpt from Khushwant Singh’s novel ‘The End of India’ after which Saurav Ganguly Tweeted back underlining the post as “not true” and requested that his daughter be kept out of ‘all this issue’ like a father.
“Every fascist regime needs communities and groups it can demonize in order to thrive. It starts with one group or two. But it never ends there. A movement built on hate can only sustain itself by continually creating fear and strife. Those of us today who feel secure because we are not Muslims or Christians are living in a fool’s paradise. The Sangh is already targeting the Leftist historians and ‘Westernized’ youth”, She wrote.
After which Saurav tweeted, “Please keep Sana out of all these issues… this post is not true ..she is too young a girl to know about anything in politics,” he said.

The star kid was referring to the on going nationwide protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act for which netizens went awol and praised her for the same in their own way.
Lets read what the Twitter’s said in response.
Citizen's capacity to arrive at one's own opinion is crucial in Democracy. You need to discern other's opinions but choose your own stand. I see, young people, actually doing that today. They are standing up for views not endorsed by parents. Sana Ganguly is one if them.

Sana Ganguly, Dada's daughter, is suddenly my favourite 'star kid'. I hear @SGanguly99 may contest elections on a BJP ticket soon enough, but his daughter has taken a stand and a strong one at that.
Thank you, Sana. It matters. pic.twitter.com/zx1iEOYUAv

Our kids are smarter than us and more socially aware and responsible than us; be it about global warming or politics. They see things that we fail to notice or take for granted.#SanaGanguly just called a spade a spade. Sourav Ganguly should be proud of her.

On December 11 Rajya Sabha passed the Citizenship Amendment Bill which approves citizenship to six non- Muslim communities from citizens of Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan who are facing religious discrimination. Protester’s around the country are against the bill as it discriminates Muslims and is a violation of the constitution.
