Actor Akshay Kumar was in Ayodhya for the Muhurat Shot of his upcoming venture ‘Ram Setu.’ He met chief minister Yogi Adityanath along with co-stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha in pivotal role.
Akshay Kumar plays the role of an archaeologist in Ram Setu which also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha. The action-adventure drama is helmed by director Abhishek Sharma.
Pictures of the muhurat puja for Ram Setu were shared by Akshay Kumar on social media platforms.
Actors Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha on Thursday morning took off for Ayodhya for the muhurat shot of their upcoming film, Ram Setu. The trio was seen at a private airport in Kalina, Mumbai. While muhurat shot took place in Ayodhya followed by a puja, the film will be shot in Mumbai.
Akshay, who plays an archaeologist in the film, also took to his social media platforms to share details of their Ayodhya schedule for the film’s muhurat shot. Sharing a picture of himself with Jacqueline and Nushrratt, he wrote, “A special film, a special start…Team #RamSetu off to Ayodhya for the mahurat shot. And so the journey begins. Need special wishes from all you guys.”
Akshay also gave a sneak peek into the film’s muhurat, by sharing a picture from the muhurat puja in Ahyodya. Nushrratt also shared glimpses from her Ahoydya visit with Akshay and Jacqueline, and write, “Grateful to seek blessings in the Holy land of Ayodhya for #RamSetu.”
Ram Setu, as described by Akshay, is a film that would be “a bridge between generations past, present and future.” It is directed by filmmaker Abhishek Sharma, who has previously made Tere Bin Laden, The Zoya Factor and the recent Manoj Bajpayee-Diljit Dosanjh starrer Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari.
Uttar Pradesh has been attracting film producers on different locations including Lucknow, the state capital.
