Permission to land helicopter in Purnea was denied for Rahul Gandhi who is on an election tour and was supposed to address people.
Prime minister has reached Sasaram and is addressing a rally. The prime minister said that had world not been done the covid would have spread like anything in Bihar.
Rahul was supposed to address rally for Grand Alliance and the PM for NDA. Giving clarification the Purnea DM said, transit program (for Rahul Gandhi’s rally in Purnia) was scheduled on 23 October at Purnea Airforce Station.
Preparations started as per security protocol & ASL meeting was done. On 22nd,we were informed about revised program which didn’t include Purnea as transit.

Purnea Airforce Statio doesn’t come under jurisdiction of district administration. Permission for landing was neither required from administration nor any application was submitted for the same, hence no question of denying, said Rahul Kumar, District Magistrate, Purnea, reported a news agency.
