Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) on Wednesday said there is Jungle Raj across the state. The nexus between police and criminals is at its peak. People are scared and Yogi Government is slapping false cases on those who are raising people’s voice.
In a statement, UPCC chief Ajay Kumar Lallu said that the oppression and suppression of party leaders and workers will not be tolerated under any circumstances. The Jungle Raj in the State has become so pervasive that people are compelled to self-immolate. Two women from Amethi were so much harassed by police and musclemen that they took the extreme step for self-immolation. It is the height of the state’s Jungle Raj that people are being forced to commit self-immolation. The Yogi Government has no moral right to stay in power any longer.
He further said that in order to hide the failure of his government, the Yogi Government is slapping false cases on Congress leaders and workers. Our spokesperson Anup Patel is being harassed by putting his name in an FIR. We are the Congress soldiers. Such acts didn’t scare us in the past nor will in the future. We will face your tyrannical rule with grit and determination.
Mr Lallu said that every day newspapers are flooded with the news of rape and murders. The Government is slapping false cases on those who are raising their voice against these heinous crimes.
The Government is stooping too low to harass our spokesperson Anup Patel by raiding his residence and that of his would-be in-laws.
Mr Lallu said that the BJP should not forget political etiquette. A victim is free to seek help from any quarter or any individual or organisation. It is a routine thing. Has the BJP never been in the opposition? Will the BJP never be in the opposition.
