New Delhi: “Save the democracy” shouts Congress on its 135th foundations day

 

New Delhi, 28 Dec

Congress on its 135th foundation day is holding a grand protest across the county, calling out everyone to ’Save the Democracy ‘ on Saturday. Congress former President Rahul Gandhi is leading the march while Congress’s Vice-President Priyanka Gandhi is holding a gathering on behalf of the party in its Lucknow office today.

In Delhi, Congress president Sonia Gandhi is leading the movement at the party office in Lucnow where she started by hoisting the national flag outside the premises. Rahul Gandhi taking a jibe at the Nardenra Modi government amid the ongoing protests against the CAA-NRC topic, said “this step has become a bigger failure than Demonetisation.”

He said, “these 15 friends of the government will not have present their document only the poor will have to suffer from this step as this step is a bigger failure than Demonetisation.”

Today, Congress is holding an anti- CAA-NRC march outside the party office at several national capitals around the country.

Congress to protest in Kerala

Congress is standing against the Citizenship Amendment Act, CAA and National Register of Citizens, NRC it will now be holding an anti CAA-NRC march across Kerala. The protest march will be held outside Rajya Sabha at 10 am on Saturday in which Congress MP Sahahi Tharoor, P Chitambaram, KC Venugopal took part. PCC chief Mullapalli Ramcahndra will is seen leading the march.

Rahul Gandhi talks about BJP accusing him of lying about detention centers saying , “I have tweeted a video where Narendra Modi is saying that there are no detention centers in India, and in the same video there are visuals of a detention center, so you decide who is lying,” “You would have seen my tweet. You would have seen Prime minister Narendra Modi’s speech in which he is saying there are no detention centres in India and you would have seen the video of the detention center. You can decide who is lying,” he said.

While Prime Minister and Home Minister has lashed out at the Congress party, saying, “.. and now the opposition is secretary trying to fill out the National Population register (NPR).”

“Police personnel’s were seen brutally beating the students, in several parts of the country some people died in Police firing”, Rahul Gandi said. To which our Prime Minister and Home Minister gave  statements at different time period saying, CAA is violating the assurances provided in Article 14 of the Indian constitution, it is  against the basic spirit of Indian Constitution.”

Congress has said in its statement that there is a lot of resentment among the people, while government went a step further and announced the process of ‘NPR update’ on December 24. “This increased suspicion with increasing difficulty that the RSS-BJP will execute its hidden agenda of implementing the NRC long after the completion of the NRC process.”
