Jubilee New Desk

Former prime minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif has been declared an absconder by the present Pakistan government. And with this his bail security has been forfeited. Pakistan government has accused Sharif of not sending his medical report and also violated rules of bail.

Sharif, 70, who is sentenced seven years imprisonment in a case of corruption was given bail on 29 October 2019, by the high court keeping in view his health condition. He had gone to London for treatment but has not returned back till now.

On Wednesday, Dr Firdaus Ashik Awan he advisor to the Pakistan prime minister said after a cabinet meeting that Sharif has not sent his medical report. He had sent a medical certificate which is not enough. And this is the reason why he had been declared an absconder. If he does not return from London soon, he shall be declared a criminal.

From today Nawaz Sharif is an absconder according to the law of land and if he does not return to the country he will be declared a proclaimed offender, said Awan.

Awan has also targeted leader of the opposition and brother of Sharif and said Shahbaz is staying in London without any reason since months and is not fulfilling his constitutional duties. Here in Pakistan there is a office and every month a big amount is spent upon its maintenance.

According to the personal doctor, Sharif, the three-time prime minister is suffering from complex heart disease and substantial ischemic and threatened myocardium for which he is due to undergo a surgery, which is complicated one.

It may be mentioned that the Islamabad high court had asked the Punjab government to keep a vigil upon the matter. Sharif had been asked to send a medical report from London based hospital and letters were sent several times but he only sent a medical certificate which has been rejected by the medical board. If Sharif is seriously ill then why cant a medical report be filed?
