A Mega Financial Inclusion (FI) Scheme Saturation Camp was organized by the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC-Delhi) at Shalimar Bagh, North-West District of Delhi. The camp was chaired by Sh. D. Surendran, Executive Director, Punjab National Bank.
The dignitaries present included Sh. Rohit P. Das, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Sh. Rajesh Kumar, General Manager & Convener-SLBC Delhi, Ms. Garima Kapoor (ISS), Deputy Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ms. Soumya Saurabh (IAS), District Magistrate, North-West District, Sh. Nabin Kumar Roy, General Manager, NABARD, and Sh. Mukesh Sethi, Deputy General Manager, SLBC Delhi.
The event witnessed the participation of more than 400 attendees, including Self Help Groups (SHGs), NGOs, District Administration officials, Member Banks, Lead District Managers (LDMs), State Government representatives, PFRDA, NABARD and the Department of Financial Services.
During the camp, the dignitaries highlighted the importance of PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY, Re-KYC, nomination in bank accounts, and awareness against digital frauds. A detailed presentation on Atal Pension Yojana (APY) was delivered by Sh. Ruby Bhaosagar, Assistant General Manager, PFRDA. Participants also visited the stalls of member banks and showed keen interest in various social security schemes.
On the occasion, cheques were handed over to nominees under PMJJBY and PMSBY in settlement of insurance claims.
The wide participation and efforts of all stakeholders were highly appreciated.
SLBC-Delhi continues to be at the forefront of organizing such camps in coordination with the LDMs of all 11 districts of Delhi.
