Meaning of PM’s ‘Gamchha Mask’

New Delhi: Corinavirus is gradually increasing its footprint. Not just common people but event governments of various countries are raising alarm for it. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had advised people in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh to use a Gamchha if they do not find a mask.

The PM himself followed the advise he gave. During the video conferencing with the chief ministers on coronavirus the PM himself was seen using a Ganchha Mask during the conference.

The PM took meeting with several CMs. When he was seen on screen while talking to the CMs the one thing drew attention of one and all.

During the meeting all CMs had masks on their face covering the mouth and nose. But what PM did was different. PM’s mask was made of Ganchha.

It may be mentioned that a day before PM had interacted with the people of Varanasi his parliamentary constituency. He spoke to the MLAs and district and city president of the party and took stock of the situation on lockdown.

During that he has mentioned that people should not waste money on a mask but use the Ganchha which is common in the region. Move out of the house with a Ganchha, he said. He then tried to explain the same. Modi was wearing mask made of Gamchha at home. Many CMs were wearing masks.
