Lucknow: BSP supremo Mayawati on her 64th birthday have announced to charge her party’s leader in Lok Sabha once again in Lucknow. BSP MP from Lock Sabha Ritesh Panday has been chosen as the party’s new leader over MP Kunwar Danish Ali from Amroha.
“Keeping in view the fact that the leader of party in Lok Sabha and Party UP Chief were from the same community, and to maintain a social balance a small change has been made, BSP leader Ritesh Pabdey will be the leader of party in Lok Sabha. However, UP BSP Chief Munkad Ali will continue to work on his post.”
While Danish and Mankad belong to the same community for which they have been swapped. “B.S.P. is keeping in view, the social cohesion in the state, there has been little change in the Lok Sabha as the leader of the party and also the state president of Uttar Pradesh, being of the same community,” she tweeted.

“That is, now in the Lok Sabha, B.S.P. The leader of Shri Ritesh Pandey and the Deputy Leader Shri Malook Nagar have been made. But Uttar Pradesh State President Mr. Munkad Ali will continue in this position”
“While no changes has been made with the position of BSP leader Lalji Verma from UP state assembly or BSP leader Dinesh Chandra in the Legislative Council. They will remain to work at their previous positions,” the tweet read.
The shifting came at a time to gain certain momentum in the next 2020 UP assembly polls for which Pandey is the choice for upper caste Hindu vote bank in the party. His father Rakesh Pandey too was an MLA in the BSP.
