- PM Modi inaugurates 104 km long, 8 lane Kisan Path built at a cost of Rs 5,500 crore from Gurugram
- Defense Minister & and CM inaugurate/ lay stone of 206 projects worth Rs 3,666 crore in Lucknow
- DRDO’s Defense Technology and Testing Center & Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University opened
The model of development that Lucknow represents today realises the dream of Atalji, said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday.
Speaking at a programme organised at Jupiter Hall of Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, he added that the 104 kilometre long and 8-lane Lucknow Outer Ring Road, also known as Kisan Path, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Gurugram, would solve the problem of traffic jam in Lucknow. In addition, the Green Corridor being built by Lucknow Development Authority, which will connect Shaheed Path via the cut near Gomti River, is set to ease traffic congestion even further.
On this occasion, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 206 development projects worth ₹3,666 crore.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 112 national highway projects worth Rs 1 lakh crore extended across the country at the main programme organised in Gurugram (Haryana). The projects included among others inauguration of three packages of Kisan Path, built at the cost of Rs 5,500 crore in Uttar Pradesh.
The Kisan Path will streamline travel for commuters heading to Barabanki, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, Sitapur, Gonda, Hardoi, Kanpur, Varanasi, Rae Bareli, Sultanpur, and other districts, eliminating the necessity of passing through Lucknow to reach these destinations. The travellers will reach their destinations directly, bypassing Lucknow. Besides, it will ease traffic congestion in Lucknow.
New employment opportunities will open for the youth: Yogi
During the programme organised in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the first phase work of the Green Corridor will be completed today. He added that with the help of the Defence Research Development Orgainsation (DRDO), the Defence Ministry is also inaugurating the BrahMos Missile Center in Lucknow, which will open up new avenues for startups and employment opportunities for the youth. The inauguration of Forensic Research Institute and Atal Medical University is also scheduled for today in Lucknow, the CM said, crediting Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for the development works in Lucknow.
On this occasion, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with State Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, Union Minister of State Kaushal Kishore, State Cabinet Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Jitin Prasad, AK Sharma, were present in Lucknow. MP Satyadev Pachauri, Devendra Singh ‘Bhole’, Dr Dinesh Sharma, Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, MLA Dr Neeraj Bora, Yogesh Shukla, Dr Rajeshwar Singh, Jai Devi, Amresh Kumar, Legislative Council members Dr Mahendra Singh, Mukesh Sharma, Ram Chandra Singh Pradhan, Dr. Lalji Prasad ‘Nirmal’, Mohsin Raza, Umesh Dwivedi, Bukkal Nawab, Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra and other dignitaries were present.
Major projects inaugurated from Lucknow:
Intrastant Transmission Project in Mohanlalganj; 3,800 Prime Minister’s residences in Sector-I of Vasant Kunj Yojana; bridge on Gaugat under Green Corridor, embankment and road from IIM Road to Harding Bridge; UP Darshan Park (Waste to Wonder); Center for Orthopedic Super at KGMU; Specialty, Advanced Ophthalmology Building and Advanced Diabetic Center in SGPGI; 200-bedded hostel for Medical Technology students; 4th Block Transit Hostel in New Police Line located at Second Main Gate; Road and Parking, Kalli West, Rural areas under Har Ghar Nal Yojana; 34 projects for pure drinking water supply in Bijnor, community recreation center for senior citizens, construction and development of 11 smart routes in ABD area; 75 public health ATM centres, underground multilevel parking on Collectorate premises, multimedia laser show in Janeshwar Mishra Park, Bijnor; widening and strengthening of Mati-Parvar road, office building of Uttar Pradesh Agricultural Research Council; Women’s Hostel in Captain Manoj Pandey Sainik School in Uttar Pradesh, 200-bedded Savitri Bhai Phule women’s hostel in Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University and road from NH-56 to Gangaganj -Nagram Road.

Underpass at Awadh intersection; 4 leg rail overhead bridge on railway call number 188 special at Anupganj on Gosaiganj-Bani Mohan road; 2 lane ROB cum flyover from Kisan Path to Bhatgaon Defense Node Parcel link road; 2 lane ROB cum flyover from Pakka bridge to Daliganj and Gomti river bridge; Widening of Nishatganj Bandha for direct road connectivity from Hanuman Setu to Samtamulak intersection; two new bridges on Hanuman Setu; 100-bedded critical care block at Sarojini Nagar, 500- bedded Advanced Pediatric Center (first phase) S.G.P.G.I and bridge in Nishatgnaj under Green Corridor.
