Lucknow. Hosts Lucknow will take on Kanpur in the opening match of the All India Media Premier League-2022 on January 7, at the Guru Gobind Singh Sports College at 9.00 a.m.
Announcing the fixtures of the three-day event, organizing secretary, Gulshan Dwivedi said that the opening match will be followed by the second match of the day between Delhi and Allahabad, scheduled to start at 12.30 p.m.
On January 8, Chandigarh will meet Kanpur in the first match at 9.00 a.m, whereas Delhi meet Avadh Prant in the second match of the day at 12.30 p.m.
The last set of league matches will be played on the final day of the event on January 9 when Allahabad taken on Avadh Prant in the first match, followed by Chandigarh vs Lucknow in the second match at 12.30 p.m. tournament will be played with pink ball.
“Team having maximum winnings in the league phase would be declared champions. In case of teams finishing on equal points then the team, who has won the match against each other would be declared champions. If the points and wins are equal and above clause is not applicable then the team with the highest net run rate would be adjudged winner,” said Dwivedi.
BCCI’s panel scorer/umpire SP Singh has been named technical director of the tournament. The Indian Oil, Radico Khaitan and Green gas Limited are the co-sponsors of the event. Trophy unveiling ceremony of the tournament will take place on January 8. Dwivedi also announced the two teams from Uttar Pradesh i.e. Lucknow and Avadh Prant.
