LUCKNOW: Schools  will remain shut due to cold weather in the city

LUCKNOW: The city schools will remain close on Thursday and Friday due to bad weather as advised by the government while the city school and colleges have their exams going on. The exams have been rescheduled for both the days. “In view of the increasing cold and cold wave, all the schools of the board from pre primary to class eight in Lucknow district will be closed till next Saturday, 21 December. All schools from Pre Primary to Class 8 will now be operational from next Monday 23 December” wrote DM Abhishek Prakash in a Tweet on Wednesday.

He further added that the schools will remain close until Friday due to intense cold weather. “ Due to intense cold and cold wave conditions,, all schools in the state will remain shut on Thursday and Friday.On Wednesday the city’s mercury reached at the minimum temperature of 10.6 degree Celsius while on the same the New Delhi reported to have witnessed the coldest morning in 22 years, at 7 degree Celsius. Also the Meteorological Department has predicted dense fog in the morning hours of Thursday in several parts of Uttar Pradseh.
