Lucknow . Lucknow Connection Worldwide (LCWW) organized a memorable Heritage Walk from Chowk to Rumi Darwaza, blending history, culture, and flavors of Lucknow.
The walk commenced with a warm musical welcome by Shoaib Quraishi, who had traveled from Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to be part of this special evening. His heartfelt hospitality and soulful melodies set the tone for an enchanting night. A serendipitous moment added joy when LCWW members joined a family celebrating their daughter Pihu’s birthday, making it a heartwarming experience.
Renowned historian Atif Anzar guided the group through Lucknow’s architectural gems, including Rumi Darwaza, Satkhanda, Clock Tower, and Baradari, enriching the journey with historical insights and stories of the city’s evolving cultural landscape.
Culinary delights followed, with participants savoring Lucknow’s iconic kebabs, kormas, tikki, and Kashmiri chai. Anil Shukla, visiting from Canada, remarked, “My appetite for Kashmiri Tea just can’t be satisfied in one cup! But more than that, I am overwhelmed by the warmth and inclusivity of Lucknow’s Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb, where traditions and togetherness blend like the perfect brew.”
A touching moment unfolded near the Ghantaghar stepwell when members noticed a homeless girl, Rani. LCWW promptly arranged food and aid, embodying the spirit of humanity. The evening also witnessed a soulful musical session, where members celebrated Lucknow’s Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb and extended warm Ramzan greetings.
The walk concluded at Rumi Darwaza with a mesmerizing musical performance by Rajendra Singh Pawar, turning the night into a joyous celebration.
