KGMU doctor’s accused of taking money to give jobs

 

LUCKNOW: A doctor of the King George’s Medical University of Lucknow has been accused of taking money from the contractual staff for getting them a permanent job on the campus.

One of the 11 complainants lodged an FIR with the Chowk police station in the state capital Lucknow, giving details of how they gave the accused doctor Rs 25 lakh collectively.

“The posts were created in 2015 and final orders came in 2016, when we were told to collect Rs 25 lakh to get the jobs. After a meeting between university officials and the senior officials in medical education department 8 names were registered. But none of us actually got jobs,” said those who lodged the police complaint.

In all “Rs 25 lakh were given to accused doctor in 2016. When we could not get jobs we asked our money back. He returned back only Rs 5 lakh”, said the complainant Ashok Kumar.

The FIR has been loved under section 406 and 420, and investigation will be done by the cops.

The money was collected by borrowing and after selling Jwellery from our home. A lot of interest has piled up upon the loan in three years, said the complainant.
