Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal has announced honorarium of one thousand rupee to women above 18-years if the party is voted to power in Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing a rally in Lucknow’s Smriti Upwan Sunday, Kejriwal said, “You give me one chance. If I fail to fulfil promise I will not come again asking for votes.

If you want free schools, good hospitals then vote to Kejriwal and if you want expensive electricity and poor schools then vote to BJP. Vote to Kejriwal for jobs.”

The Delhi Cm also invited UP Cm to visit schools in Delhi. “When Delhi deputy Cm came to see school in UP the cops were deployed to stop him. I give open challenge to UP Cm to come and visit any schools in Delhi. I wish to make UP schools as good as in Delhi.”

The elections to the 403 assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh are due early this year. After coming to power for the second term in Delhi, Kejriwal is hoping to expand party’s base. The AAP has made similar promises in Punjab, Uttarakhand and Goa that are also headed for Assembly polls this year.

In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) registered a victory after it bagged 312 Assembly seats.

The party secured a 39.67 per cent vote share. The Samajwadi Party bagged 47 seats, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) won 19, while the Congress managed to win only seven seats.

“Baba Saheb wanted all in this country get good education and I will fulfil his dream. Only I know how to give free electricity and I am doing so in Delhi for 35 lakh people. All women over 18-years will get Rs 1000 ‘Samman Rashi’,” said Kejriwal.

The Aam Admi Party has been making attempts to expand its base in Uttar Pradesh and this assembly election the party has been successful in getting more people join the party before elections.

“We have facilitated free Yatra for 2000 people in Delhi to Ayodhya. If we are voted to power we shall provide pilgrimage to all in Ayodhya. We wish all Indians come and visit Ayodhya,” said Kejriwal.
