International Conference on Comparative Law by Amity Law School

Amity Law School, Noida, Amity University Uttar Pradesh (India) in partnership with the School of Business and Law, Edith Cowan University (Western Australia) organized an International Conference on the broad theme of Comparative Law on Feb 19-20, 2021 virtually with Prof. (Dr.) D. K. Bandyopadhyay, Chairman, Amity Law Schools & Chief Adviser, Founder President’s Office (Amity Group) as Conference Director, Prof. (Dr.) Aditya Tomer, Additional Director/Jt. HoI, Amity Law School, Noida as Conference Chairperson from India and Dr. Joshua N. Aston, Associate Professor/Associate Dean of Law, School of Business and Law, Edith Cowan University, Western Australia as Conference Chairperson from Australia.


The second leg of this conference witnessed participation, in the form more than 80 paper presentations and in attendance, of around 500 persons including, professionals, academia, and students from the finest laws school in India, 4 continents and 12 Universities from around the globe.

Dr. Ashok Chauhan, Hon’ble Founder President, Amity, Amity Education Group Ritnand Balved Education Foundation Chairman, AKC Group of Companies explained his vision of making India a superpower through education while Dr. Atul Chauhan, Hon’ble Chancellor, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh reassured the students and participants that “With conviction together we can change the world”.Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh expressed her happiness for this partnership and emphasised on the importance of such an international conference.

Ms. Vaishali Arora, Conference Convener/Assistant Professor of Law, Amity Law School, Noida, Dr. Jane Eyre Mathew and Mr. Rupendra Singh, Conference Co-Conveners/Assistant Professor of Law, Amity Law School, Noida were able to successfully conduct an informative conference with sessions focusing on crucial issues like COVID 19 and Law, Freedom of Expression, Right to Privacy, Gender laws etc.
