Today marks a historic milestone in India’s corporate and governance landscape with the successful hosting of the 1st Indian PSU Achievers’ Award—a grand celebration of excellence, leadership, and innovation in the Public Sector. More than just an awards ceremony, this event is a tribute to the visionaries, policymakers, and industry leaders who have played a crucial role in shaping India’s economy and infrastructure.
This prestigious event is the brainchild of Vivek Avasthi, a distinguished journalist whose dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence have amplified the voice of India’s Public Sector. With a career spanning over three decades in print, television, and digital media, Avasthi has been instrumental in pioneering impactful storytelling in business journalism.
In 2020, he founded www.indianpsu.com, India’s foremost digital platform exclusively covering Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Bureaucracy, Corporate Affairs, Public Policy, Environment, and CSR. Over the past five years, the platform has achieved remarkable success, with over five million monthly hits, a vast readership among policymakers, corporate leaders, and bureaucrats, and significant influence in shaping discourse in boardrooms and government corridors.
Honoring Excellence in the PSU Sector
The 1st Indian PSU Achievers’ Award recognizes trailblazing individuals and organizations that have contributed significantly to India’s economic growth and strategic development. With 35 award categories, the event highlights the achievements of PSUs, policymakers, and industry professionals in various fields, including innovation, corporate governance, digital transformation, and public policy.
Distinguished Guests & Key Participants
The event was graced by Union Cabinet Minister for MSME, Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, as the Chief Guest, along with Shri Ramdas Athawale, Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment, as Guest of Honour. Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Member of Parliament and Former Minister, was also present as a Special Guest. Senior journalists and industry experts, including Mr. Utkarsh Sinha, Mr. Prabhat Shunglu, and Mr. Manish Hindvi, added depth to the discussions. Another highlight of the show was Mr. Darain Shahidi, who enthralled the audience with his exceptional anchoring accompanied with shero-shaiyari and “Dastangoi”

Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) received multiple awards, including PSU Leadership Excellence Award (Mr. Kamal Kishore Chatiwal, MD), Innovation & Transformation Leadership Award (Mr. Mohit Bhatia, Director – Commercial), Mr. Amandeep Singh Narang, Senior Vice President (PNG Marketing & Corporate Communication), for Best External Communication Strategy and Mr. Bhudev Singh, Executive Director (PNG, SBU) for Innovation In Operational Excellence.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) was recognized for Excellence in Aatmanirbhar Bharat Initiatives and Breakthrough R&D Excellence.
NMDC Ltd. won the Best CSR Initiative of the Year and Excellence in Talent Development awards.
NTPC Ltd. honored Mr. Harjit Singh with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Jammu and Kashmir Bank won Best Innovation in Digital Lending.
Alliance Air received the Trusted Airline Under RCS-UDAN award.
