Indians did a great job as we lost the second test by only 10 wickets , not by an innings. Now the Kangaroos has taken the revenge of first test defeat and they have allowed the Indians to enjoy lunch at Adelaide Oval without any food restrictions . The special arrangements have been made for the Indian team to visit Bradman museum. Hopefully they will get inspired by visiting this holy place . It will be good for the Indian team to enjoy as much as possible on the remaining two days because there is no point in conducting nets if we continue to perform in the similar manner. No practice is needed for such type of performance.
The only silver lining is the emergence of a fine allrounder named Nitish Kumar Reddy. He was the top scorer so far in 3 innings with the scores of 42 ,42 and 41 while batting at number 8 in the first test and at number 7 in the second test respectively. He also played an explosive inning of 37 not out in the first test. Hopefully he will be promoted further in the batting order in the 3rd test match. He has shown a tremendous amount of test temperament and therefore should be groomed and encouraged in all respects. I believe a future star has arrived on the cricketing scene . Dhruv Jurel should also be encouraged to serve Indian cricket for the coming years.
The result of remaining three test matches depends on the form of two senior most cricketers . It is essential for Rohit and Virat to score in the third test match otherwise we shall be facing similar type of situation in the remaining test matches. Another failure of Rohit may lead to his Dhoni type retirement in the middle of the series.
