With 92,071 fresh covid cases and 1,136 fresh fatalities the total number of cases in India are now 48,46,428 and 79,722 deaths. The number of active cases are now 9,86,598 while 37,80,108 have recovered, according to the union health ministry.
Only USA with cases is ahead of India while Brazil on third position has total 4,330,455 reported cases.
India is world number one in daily new cases, and it also puts us in an altogether different league from the rest of the world.
According to the literature, PCR tests, when conducted properly, detect a much higher number of Covid cases – in fact two to three times higher, than Rapid Antigen tests. This is clear from official data of Delhi and Maharashtra which are known to have the best practices, methodology and techniques of PCR testing. This differential between the two tests is similar to global standards.
In India Uttar Pradesh covid tally has crossed 3-lakh mark and reached 312036 while death toll reached 4429.
