India’s Covid-19 tally has crossed 71-lakh mark with a spike of 66,732 new cases in the past 24-hours. Total case tally stands at 71,20,539 including 8,61,853 active cases, 61,49,536 cured cases and 1,09,150 fatalities, including and 816 deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, president of the USA, that has maximum cases in the world, Donald Trump announced he was ready to return to the campaign trail in spite of unsettled questions about his health on the eve of a Florida rally meant to launch the stretch run before Election Day.
The USA which is number one in covid cases has reported 7,991,998 cases till now, which is roughly 9-lakh more than India. Brazil on number three remains far below India with 5,094,979 cases.
In the significant decisions in the state of Maharastra which has reported maximum over 14.60 lakh cases in India has now allowed Mumbai’s dabbawalas and staff of foreign consulates and high commissions to travel in local trains which are currently being run only for essential services staff.

Dabbawalas, the famous lunch-box carriers in Mumbai, last month said there was never a six-month break in the 130-year-old history of the tiffin services, and demanded access to local trains to resume their services in full capacity.
Uttar Pradesh has announced unlock 5 and has allowed cinema halls to run with just 50% capacity. The cinema halls will open this week and the SoP have been framed. The announcement will but come in to effect from October 15 and before that the hall owners have to plan how would the audience sit in the hall to ensure social distancing.
