NOW, elections have also become expensive in the era of rising inflation. those who are there in the fray to try their luck in uttar pradesh assembly elections have been legally allowed to spend upto 40 lakhs rupees . it is obvious that the person who is spending 40-50 lakhs in contesting elections will be a millionaire.
All political parties have relied on such candidates who can spend money like water in this election campaigns. in the current election , which is based on ‘ NO MONEY NO POWER’ . no political party wants to give ticket to the candidate who does not have property’s worth crores.
Uttar pradesh assembly elections have completed its two phases . the third phase of polling is going to be held on February 20. today we will talk about the candidates of different parties who are there in fourth phase of election who have given information of their being crorepatis in there affidavits.
The uttar pardesh election watch and assoication for democratic reform (ADR) have studied the affidavits of all the candidates. it has been found in this study that out of 621 candidates who contested of the 59 seats in the fourth phase, 231 candidates are crorepatis. means, in the fourth phase 37 percent candidates have huge wealth.
Talking about crorepati candidates party wise , 50 out of 57 candidates of BJP are crorepatis. that is , BJP have trusted 88 percent crorepatis candidates. 48 out of 57 candidates of samajwadi party are crorepatis. that is , 84 percent of the candidates of samajwadi party are crorepatis. the difference between the crorepati candidates of samajwadi party and BJP is only four percent .
Out of 59 , 44 candidates of bahujan samaj party are crorepatis. means 75 percent candidates of BSP are crorepatis. out of 58 , 48 percent of congress candidates are crorepatis. whereas 16 out of 45 candidates of AAP i.e. 36 percent candidates are crorepatis.
Among the top three candidates who declared the maximum assets , rajiv bakshi candidate of AAP party from lucknow west in lucknow . he declard his assets as 56 crores. in the second place is anoop kumar gupta candidate of samajwadi party from maholi assembly seat of sitapur district. whose assets are 52 crores. On the third place is shobhit pathak from hardoi assembly seat of bahujan samaj party. he has declared his assets as 34 crores.
Such people are advocated in politics who have the power to understand the pain of common man. it is believed that the politics can be clean when the representative of common man understand the meaning of hunger. the common man is even visible in the ever-expensive elections and the money rain on elections in the race ton outdo each other.
The millionaire gets the ticket and the millionaire also wins ; that is why the common man keeps on waiting for the justice lying in his native place and the new election gets conch.
