Ikshvaku Puri to rise again from history

 

There might be some time in construction of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, at Uttar Pradseh Government has established Ayodhya as a city of great spiritual and religious faith. Serious efforts have been started towards restoring. The aim is  to make Ayodhya a spiritual place for Hindus, just like Vatican and Mecca is for Christian and Muslim communities.

According to high sources of the state government, a city named Ikshvaku Puri will be established in Aayodhya where people will see a glimpse of golden age of Indian history where Vedic and mythological, religious and cultural splendor will also be restored.

The name Ikshvaku is derived from the glorious empire with had glorious kings which Dashrat, Ram and Harishchandra. The establishment of Ikshvaku Puri Nagar will be done in an area of 1900 acres on the banks of the river Saryu in Ayodhya where there is forest, river and some villages. The land is owned by the State government owns the forest, agriculture and other departments and the proposed city is located in this entire area only 5 percent of the construction has been completed while the rest of the area will be kept as an environmentally friendly area.

 

The concept of the proposed city is based on the famous Angkor Wat temples of Cambodia. These temples are considered to be the largest monuments in the world and Indian culture, where life depiction of the life and times of Shri Ram. Tourists and devotees.

This project was proposed under the supervision of Chief Minister Yohi Adityanat, who has been working on it from last year. A four lane road from Ayodhya National Highway to Gupta Ghat will be built and Ikshvaku Puri will be developed from Gupta Gurdwara along the banks of the Saryu River. A wide road will pass through the city for main campus where schools for Vedas, Upnashids, Puranas and other scriptures will be taught on both the sides of the campus. Land will be allotted to other states of the country where they will build guest houses, religious and pilgrimage center’s of their states to organize exhibitions. There will also be Vedic Research centers, study center, meditation center and multi-media center etc.

While Ramat Mandir will be the other end of the city, as proposed. The city will be the purest essence and familiarity of eternity, culture, spirituality and history of Ikshvaku’s era.

There is plan to make this city completely Eco-friendly where only electric vehicles will be allowed and the use of petrol, diesel and CNG vehicles will be banned. Electric buses, trams for transportation and small carts will also be available for the public. The map and blue-print for the project is ready which will cost at about Rs 2000 to 3000 crores, officials have claimed. In this project the state government will prepare its plan, standard and design. The rest of the joint field operations will be used to complete the work of PPP (Public-private Partnership) and donations etc.

Modern technology will be used to resort, feel the atmosphere of that era for the visitors to see. “Chief Minsiter Yogi Adityanath have had an in depth discussion on this project with several experts, officers and other collaborators after this format has been selected”, said a source. Since, Chief Minister took charge of the office he has visited Ayodhya a dozen taken during which he did planning to display historical heritage to the public. In Ayodhya the same idea was behind celebrating Dussehra, Diwali and Deepotsav. With this project, Ayodhya will be included in the major tourist attraction of the country and the state. Ayodhya has seen an increase in tourist arrivals over the past year and in the past Months after the Supreme Court’s decision in the Ram Mandir case, this number has suddenly increased. Agra, Sarnath and Varanasi are the top tourist attractions in the state and now they have Ayodhya as well.

The Ikshvaku Puri project is I addition to the schemes under which Ayodhya will get be a smart city. A new shape of Ayodhya will be seen as a smart city where Airport, residential colony, parks, hotel, heritage park etc will be established. As for now, Ayodhya (and the erstwhile Faizabad) is be for devotes only as it has been a stopover destination for travelers going to Gorakhpur, for some time.

The present government estimates that the ‘Ikshvaku Puri’ will be the biggest attraction in itself.
