Giving controversial statements has become the favourite task for politicians. Be it the BJP, the Congress, the BSP, All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen(AIMIM) or any other regional party. Political leaders from all such parties give controversial statements.

Based upon the protest against citizenship amendment law the BJp leaders are issuing controversial statements frequently. This time the controversial statement has come from All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen leader and MPAsaduddin Owaisi’s brother Akbaruddin Owaisi.

During a rally in Hyderabad on January 20 Akbaruddin Owaisi in opposition to the citizenship amendment law targeted the centre. Addressing the gathering Owaisi said, tell those who come to your house to see papers that we have ruled this country for 800 years and the Charminar was built by our father and grandfather and not by your father.

He said that there was no reason to be afraid of such exercise neither should we get carried away by their statements. Owaisi said that those asking what Muslims have with them I wish to tell them that if you wish to see my papers let me tell you that I have ruled for 800 years and shown valor. This land belonged to me and will remain mine. My father and grandfather gave this nation Charminar, Qutubminar, Jama Masjid. And Red Fort from where the Indian prime minister hoists national flag was also given by my ancestors.

It may be mentioned that Akbaruddin Owaisi has given controversial statements earlier too and had given controversial statement against Hindus too.
