After 28 contacts of Kanika Kapoor tested negative another name came up who is yet to be traced. Fresh details revealed Kanika Kapoor was asked to stay in quarantine by the officials at the Mumbai airport.
In a fresh letter written by the chief medical officer of Lucknow to the Lucknow police commissioner it has been stated that the Bollywood singer had been asked to stay quarantine on her arrival at the airport on march 9 but she attended parties.
Not only this she also stayed at Hotel Taj from March 14 to 16 and the room was booked a friend.
The chief medical officer of Lucknow has sent a revised letter to the district magistrate detailing the travel details of Kanika Kapoor in Lucknow in which her hotel stay details are included.
The Hotel Taj provided details of stay. Kanika Kapoor and her friend on the basis of hotel booking and CCTV footage checked in on March 14, 5-days after she arrived in India from UK. The room number 302 was allotted. The guests checked out on March 16, the hotel gave details to the office of CMO.
Health office does not know where is that friend and has sent details to the Lucknow police commissioner to trace the person and get him checked with the health teams, wherever he is in India.
First input about Kanika came from the World Health Organisation (WHO) on March 18 in Lucknow after which sample of Kanika was collected on March 19. Also the hotel has listed 10 employees who came in contact with the singer. The hotel is presently closed till further orders and is being sanitized.
