The Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh, which is in national focus following the death of a teen because of a brutal assault last month, witnessed yet another protest after a six-year-old alleged rape victim died.
As per Superintendent of Police (SP) Vineet Jaiswal, the six-year-old girl died at Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi on Monday, 15 days after being allegedly raped by her maternal cousin in Aligarh. She used to stay with her maternal aunt in Aligarh, while the family belonged to Hathras.
After the complaint of social organization the police raided the place. The place is known to be owned by the girl’s relative where she was found in a critical condition and was admitted in the Jawaharlal Nehru medical college and was treated for 4 days. Then she was referred to Safdargunj hospital in Delhi where she was declared dead on Monday.
On 21september ,the family reported the police about the forcibly imprisonment of their daughter by the relatives, added by SP..
A 15 year old boy, known to be the girl’s cousin found guilty and charged including her maternal aunty who is missing for now.
The SP suspended the Inspector of Iglas for mishandling the case. And two teams are been set up to find the missing woman.Moreover the girl’s family protested for justice.
