Groupe ADP committed to be carbon neutral by 2030

February 21: Groupe ADP, one of the worldwide leader in the airport industry, is now committed to be carbon neutral by 2030 in the Parisian Airports. Three of the airports of its network are already carbon neutral: Zagreb (Croatia), Liege (Belgium) and Izmir (Turkey).

Drawing on 70 years of experience to carry out the principal businesses in the airport value chain – financing, designing and operating infrastructure – in France and abroad, the group is a listed company on Euronext Paris the French stock exchange and the French State owns 50.6% of the equities shares.

With a vision for human friendly airports, Groupe ADP is active over 125 airports among 50 countries. In2019, it handled a total traffic of 234.5 million passenger, including 108 million passengers through Paris Aéroport – a local brand which involves the three main airports of the Paris region: Paris-Charles de Gaulle (76.1 million passengers and the main gateway to France), Paris-Orly and Paris-Le Bourget – and 105.2 million passengers through the network of the turkish TAV Airports (46.1%-owned) and also others traffic figures by others airports managed like Queen Alia in Amman (Jordan).

In terms of operations, it operates at end of 2019 a portfolio of 24 airports worldwide (in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America) like for instance: Zagreb (Croatia), Amman (Jordan), Mauritius (Mauritius), Santiago of Chile (Chile), Ivato and Nosy Be (Madagascar), Conakry (Guinea), etc. Groupe ADP’s ambition is to manage a total traffic of 400-450 million passengers in its airports’ network by 2025.

The financial

In 2019, group revenue stood at €4,700 million and net income at €588 million. Groupe ADP’s business activities are divided into 5 segments: aviation, retail & services, real estate, international and airports development, others (telecommunications, etc.).

Groupe ADP has a strong experience in innovation and CSR policy. Considered as one of the pioneer of the airport of the future by providing news services and solutions under its program called “Innovation Hub”, the group leads experiments, with startups, in some specific areas such as smart airport, new mobility’s or robotics-dronotics.
