There is twist in the Rajasthan politics and sources say the Gehlot government can bring confidence motion during assembly session. Gehlot government is making a new strategy.

The Ashok Gehlot Cabinet recently sent yet another recommendation the third such communication in a week to the Governor Kalraj Mishra asking for a session of the Rajasthan Assembly. None of the three proposals, however, mentions whether the government wants to hold a vote of confidence.

Ever since the crisis began in the second week of July, Gehlot had been claiming that his government has the majority in the 200-member House. All eyes are now upon the assembly session. If sources are to be believed the Gehlot government can bring confidence motion on August 17.

The everyday political activities were centred at a hotel on the outskirts of the state capital. The MLAs present there have been asked to check out but get 15-days items of need from their homes. The MLAs have also been asked to keep their IDs with them.

According to a new agency Congress MLAs offered prayers at a in Jaisalmer on Eid-Al-Adha. Congress MLAs, supporting Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot are lodged at the hotel.

Congress MLAs loyal to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot shifted from a Jaipur resort to Jaisalmer on Friday, prepared to spend at least the next fortnight holed up in a hotel there.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot boarded one of the five chartered flights to the city, 550 kms away from the state capital by road. He told reporters at the airport there will be no compromise with the government’s work as he and the ministers will remain in Jaipur.
