With fore more coronavirus cases reported on Friday the Uttar Pradesh count has gone up to 23. The cases reported today are from Mahanagar area of Lucknow and this is highest number of positive cases reported in one day in the state.
In Uttar Pradesh, Agra and Lucknow have reported 8 cases each, Noida four cases, Gaziabad two cases and Lakhimpur-Kheri one case. Among the cases tested positive are two woman (20 years and 28 years) and two men (35 years and 27 years). They are under observation/treatment. Dr Sudhir Singh, incharge of media cell KGMU said samples have been tested and patients are under treatment.
All four are residents of Mahanagar area in Lucknow. One case has returned from UK and the others are contacts of the person, said Dr Sudhir Singh.
Names on social media
After the cases were confirmed a list comprising names of the patients was leaked on social media and this has been criticized by people. They said names or identity of the patients should not be revealed as that might spread unnecessary panic among the neighbours.
People have demanded action be taken against such offenders who reveal names of patients as right to privacy is the provided to patients and their identity is not to be disclosed without their permission.
