Foreign delegations to visit migrant camps of Kashmiri Pandits today

 

 

A team foreign delegations are will visit the camps made for migrants in Kashmir today for in a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir interacting with the residents living on outskirts of the city.

The team consisting of US ambassador to India Kennith I Juster along with seven other officials will meet locals in area along with civil society groups, journalists and local body heads. “The team is expected to meet Kashmiri Pandit migrants at the ‘Jagat Migrant’ camp after 1200 hours on Friday, a senior official told PTI.

There more than 4,218 two-room flats at the Jagati in Nagrota area of Jammu built by the State government in the region for those who were living in one-room dwellings and families of those displaced in 2010.

Later the delegation is expected to have dinner with Lt Governor G C Murumu at the Radison Blu hotel in Jammu where they will be staying amid the tight security.
