COVID-19 is still a mystery and scientists across the globe are trying to find out its origin. Last year in December second week the existence of COVID-19 came before the world community and in three-and-half-months this has caused havoc across the world.
Where from coronavirus came has several theories. Initially it was stated it came from bat to humans and then a new theory said it came from Pengolin. Some stress that it came from animals but which animal is not clear. The theory had no strong base.
Since it first was spotted in Wuhan in China hence another theory is that it was created in a lab in Wuhan. It is possible that coronavirus was made in a lab and it spread in countries. It was stated that the virus has come from wet market in China. China consumes meat of animals for food and also to make medicines. Coronavirus came from there. But when it entered other countries this theory also was pushed behind.
Many countries are upset with China due to the reason they believe China allowed its spread to other countries deliberately. A few days before it was being reiterated that it was made in a lab. The Washington Post published a detailed report on it. The new was based upon the sources in the embassy.
According to the newspaper the sources in home department in America said embassy staff said they were worried about bio-diversity in a virus inside a lab in Wuhan. This is the city where the first case was reported. It was only after this expose that the entire world paid attention to.
Earlier the American government had also stated that they were probing the reports that the virus was made in a lab and it came out from there. But if it is so then will ouor understanding go beyond what we know?
The Washington Post wrote that in the year 2018 political representatives of American scientific bodies had gone for inspection of Chinese research facilities. These representatives had cautioned about lack of safety measures inside the labs, to the American authorities.
According to a column published in the newspaper the experts who had gone there had expressed concern about the Wuhan Institute of Virology regarding lack of safety measures and had asked intervention.
It is also being claimed that experts had expressed concern over the tests being done upon bats coronavirus. This could be a reason for a SARS type illness. The news paper wrote these claims gave strength to American debates that the source of coronavirus is in Wuhan or any other lab like Wuhan. The Fox news has also issued a report on the lab theory.
Where from COVID-19 came has no concrete clues. It may be made clear here that other than online there are no evidence to show the SARS COVID 2 is a gift of a lab experiment.
