Coronavirus: Lucknow’s first case recovers, health minister tests negative

Some news for relief came on Saturday as Lucknow’s first coronavirus positive case tested negative and was discharged from the hospital by the doctors treating her.

Also the test report of UP’s health minister JP Singh tested negative. The minister had attended a party with Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor who had tested positive a day before. 28 other contacts of Kanika Kapoor also tested negative.

The woman medical officer who had returned from Canada, tested positive for coronavirus on March 11. Soon she was admitted and given treatment at the King George’s Medical University.

KGMU tested 45 samples in the morning and results of all were negative, Sudhir Singh, media cell incharge of the KGMU informed.

Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor and three contacts of the junior resident had tested positive on Friday. More samples will be tested now.
