Coronavirus impact upon Modi’s Holi

Rise in corona virus cases in India has given panic to people in some parts of the country. The prime minister has said he wont attend Holi Milan (gathering).

On Wednesday the PM said that keeping in view the advise of experts upon spread of Corona virus he wont take part in any of the Holi gatherings. The festival of Holi is on March 10.

The said, “Experts across the world have advised that to check spread of CCOVID-19 number of social gatherings should be reduced hence I have decided not to take part in any such gathering.”

Also the BJP president JP Nadda following the PM, said he too wont take part in gatherings. Nadda in a tweet said, “The world is struggling with COVID-19. The country and the health sector is making attempts to stop its spread. Keeping in view this I wont celebrate Holi neither will I organise gathering on Holi. Keep safe, keep healthy.”

On March 3 the PM took stock of preparedness to fight COVID-19. He had conducted a review of the situation and arrangements. The arrangements to screen people coming to India and to provide them medical care immediately have been done and there was no need to panic.
