LUCKNOW: Samples of six suspected coronavirus cases from Agra has been sent to NIV lab in Pune while over 100 others are being tracked by the health department of Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh health department is tracking people in the state, who came in contact with the Delhi resident who tested positive. Six samples of suspected cases were sent to Pune lab for coronavirus confirmation as high viral load was found at the lab at King George’s Medical University.
The Delhi resident who tested positive had returned from a foreign trip and with him were two resident of Agra. We have isolated the two and 11 of their family members and their samples have been sent for lab test, Dr Mithlesh Chaturvedi, director vector borne disease for Uttar Pradesh informed.
The man who tested positive had attended a party in which two families from Noida were present hence the health department has now increased the ambit of the tracking. Apart from these families a co-worker of the man admitted in Delhi from Bulandshahr has also been isolated .

Till now 2125 passengers who travelled to china came to various cities in Uttar Pradesh and in all 6554 passengers were screened at different airports in the state. In Lucknow 300 people had been put under surveillance. We are coordinating with police department to track the suspected patients and every day their condition is checked by health staff.
