Congress delegation meets the family of Sudeeksha Bhati

On the directions of All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, a party delegation today met the family members of Sudeeksha Bhati. The delegation handed over a written condolence message by the AICC general secretary and expressed deep sorrow over the incident.

The Congress delegation comprised national secretary Rohit Chaudhary, state vice president Pankaj Malik, general secretary Virender Guddu, Vidit Chaudhary, Omvir Yadav, Manoj Chaudhary, Sheopal Singh, Dr Mahendra Nagar, Deepak Chotiwala, Rajendra Avana, Parsottam Nagar, Lalit Avana, Ashok Sharma, Ajit Dola, Satish Sharma, Sanjeev Sharma etc.

The Congress delegation also extended a financial aid of Rs 5 lakh to Sudeeksha’s kin.

In her letter to family, AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi observed she was deeply agonised by the incident and the death of Sudeeksha, who was a bright and brave girl. I have listened to a few of her speeches. Sudeeksha was empathetic towards the challenges faced by girls. She was enthusiastic about girls’ education and committed to her family. Due to this very reason, she had made the country proud.

Gandhi mentioned in her letter that she could understand the deep sorrow and grief of the family. I want to assure the family that you should not consider yourselves alone in the fight for justice to Sudeeksha. We are all standing firmly with you.

The members of the delegation asserted that the Congress party was committed to fighting for justice for Sudeeksha. The party is determined to fight for justice.
