Claims fall flat, thousands on road defying ‘lockdown’

News Desk

On March 24 Prime Minister announced lockdown and said it would be curfew like arrangement. It was also said that people should remain where ever they are and inside homes for the next 21-days. But the pictures coming from UP-Delhi border is just the opposite.

A six-page guideline and announcement that only emergency services will run with those involved in maintaining such services had nothing to do when labours in thousands came to enter Uttar Pradesh leaving Delhi behind.

Having lost their work till the lockdown period these labours from construction sites, factories and other such industries had no reason to remain in Delhi and bear the expense of living there. That when they have no source of earning.

Pictures that came revealed thousands of such labours march towards Uttar Pradesh and government just noticed them. Tall claims that no one will move anywhere fell flat.

Just as on Friday the scene was repeated on Saturday too. The UP officials then stopped them at the UP gates and they gathered in thousands at Anand Vihar and Kaushambi bus terminals. They are awaiting buses.

Some got buses and left for their homes and many are still waiting that they shall get buses to reach home. But all this is simply revealing how the claims of the governments fell flat.

Officials are active and busy pleasing the chief minister but on social media. What threat has this crowd brought or how will they check infection spread among thousands of people being transported to their homes in different districts has no explanation.

These pictures have many eyebrows raised but without answers. Even Cm and PM are appearing to have ignored these pictures.

The chief minister has announced people should stay where ever they are and their food and stay will be arranged. Also for each state a nodal officer has been deployed who will take care of the people from UP stuck there. Despite this movement of people is going on and the nodal officers seem doing much of papers. This is a threat for spread of infection.

The CM in a tweet has said that thousands of people are coming to Uttar Pradesh but Delhi government is not stopping them. The DTC buses are leaving them on the UP border.

The Delhi CM is requested to manage facilities to people so that movement can be restricted. These labours are moving inside UP for food and stay issues but if they got food why would they had moved out of their homes. Coronavirus that started last year has maximum cases in the US.
